Why Ads?
You might have noticed some ads on Going Zero Waste. You might be wondering why?
I’ve started placing ads on my blog to try and recoup some of the costs of blogging. Blogging is not free. I have been paying for all of the costs associated with blogging for over a year and a half.
I love this little hobby of mine, but as my audience grows the cost gets bigger. And, at this point in time, I would have to either scale back blogging, get a fourth job, or try and monetize.
The ads you’re seeing on the site are subject to what you’ve been viewing. Mine are mostly Broadway HD, Solar Panels, Electric Cars, and Ethical Fashion ads. But, as the ad company explained to me; if you’ve been looking at Panda Express, you’re probably going to see a Panda Express ad.
Granted, this isn’t always the case, but they try to operate off that algorithm. Also, the Broadway HD ads have totally worked! If anyone is wondering what to buy me for Christmas… I will gladly accept a Broadway HD membership.
If at any time, you find an ad you don’t like, there is a tag down in the bottom of the ad that says “Report This Ad.” Please report it, if you don’t like it!
Who writes this content?
This is a personal blog and all views expressed are mine. All content and photos are mine unless otherwise stated.
All recipes need to stay on the zero waste website. You are more than welcome to link to my website with a picture. If you have a special case, feel free to contact me!
Do you offer medical advice?
No, that’s silly. Any information I provide is general information for educational purposes, and is not a substitute for your doctor’s medical care or advice.
What about links?
Some of my links are affiliate links. I use these to showcase products I own, or very similar in the case of my wardrobe. Affiliate links don’t change the price of the item, but I make a small commission if you choose to purchase.
Do you write sponsored posts?
Occasionally, I do. Most of my posts are freelance on other people’s websites about waste reduction. One or two might pop up on Going Zero Waste. If they arise, I will be talking about products or companies that I stand behind like Brush with Bamboo. They are the BEST! I will never be dishonest and all opinions will be mine.
If you think your company is top-notch sustainable, drop me a line.
What are your goals?
I truly love blogging and interacting with you. If blogging happened to become my full time job, I would ecstatic. It would free me to do the work I am truly passionate about.
I would be able to do workshops in schools, teach kids about the positive impact they can have on the planet. I’d open a small co-op. I’d host classes to teach lower income families how to eat healthy and well on a budget.
I have so many dreams, and if this happened to be my stepping stone – I would embrace it.
But, I’m not willing to sacrifice my ethics or intentions to get there. Making money never has and never will be the goal of Going Zero Waste.
My goal is to reach as many people as possible. To prove that zero waste living is not an exclusive club. But, most people can do something to make a difference in their lives and community. There is no right or correct way – there are 1000 different paths. And together, with encouragement, we can all see a brighter and greener future.
Peace. Love. Freedom. Happiness.
